Maryland Physician licensing

Maryland medical license is one one the hardest license to obtain. Currently the process averages at 3-4 months if you have a clean record. Unlike other states, Maryland has a two-step application process. The first step is pre-licensure, which requires you to submit all of the verifications as well as the JP exam. After all of the items are submitted your application will be moved into a second stage-Licensing. The downside of this two-step process is that your application is not reviewed for quality at the Pre-licensure stage. If there are any issues with your verifications or medical board needs an adiitional documents you will not find out until the application is reviewed which can delay the process.
